The avocado is what gives this pudding its texture, and also what makes it so healthy!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Traditional pudding is made with milk, sugar and cornstarch. This pudding is made with avocado, cocoa powder and maple syrup, making it a better-for-you option, kind of like my <a href=\"https:\/\/thealmondeater.com\/chocolate-peanut-butter-avocado-brownies\/\">avocado brownies<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/thealmondeater.com\/chocolate-avocado-cake-gluten-free\/\">chocolate avocado cake<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-recipe-features\">Recipe features<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A dessert recipe that&#8217;s naturally <a href=\"https:\/\/thealmondeater.com\/category\/vegan\/\">vegan<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/thealmondeater.com\/category\/gluten-free\/\">gluten free<\/a>. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Made with avocado for plenty of healthy fats, making it a wonderful snack or adults <em>and<\/em> toddlers. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perfectly sweetened, and ready in about 5 minutes!\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-ingredients\">Ingredients<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Avocado<\/strong> &#8211; Ripe avocado is crucial here so that it blends properly in the food processor. And no, you can&#8217;t taste it I promise!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Cocoa powder<\/strong> &#8211; I love using dutch process cocoa powder for its richness, but regular unsweetened cocoa powder works great too. Cocoa powder is what gives this pudding its rich chocolate flavor.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Cinnamon<\/strong> &#8211; A little bit goes a long way and helps to balance out the flavor.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Maple syrup<\/strong> &#8211; My sweetener of choice when making a healthy chocolate recipe. Agave is a good alternative, but I don&#8217;t recommend using honey.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Yogurt<\/strong> &#8211; Plain yogurt, Greek yogurt or even your favorite dairy-free yogurt all work wonderfully here and help to create a creamy texture.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Vanilla extract<\/strong> &#8211; Helps to sweeten the pudding.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-instructions\">Instructions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 1: Blend avocado<\/strong>. Start by scooping the avocado into a food processor, then pulse for 15 seconds or so.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 2: Add dry ingredients, then wet<\/strong>. Stop the food processor and add the cocoa powder and cinnamon.
