It&#8217;s creamy, slightly sweet but without any added sugar, and even my toddler slurped it up and was begging for more.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-recipe-features\">Recipe features<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A tasty smoothie that&#8217;s full of nutrients and naturally sweet thanks to the banana and dates. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Naturally gluten free and vegan, and high in fiber too! <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Can easily be bulked up to be even more filling (see &#8220;Tips&#8221; section below for recommended add-ins).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-ingredients\">Ingredients<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Banana &#8211; <\/strong>Ripe bananas are going to be sweeter and have a more prominent flavor. So, I say the riper the better, though not necessarily as ripe as you&#8217;d want for banana bread.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dates &#8211; <\/strong>Medjool dates are larger and more plump, just make sure to remove the seed before adding them. Deglet dates work ok too!\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tahini &#8211; <\/strong>Soom foods tahini is *elite* and I highly recommend it over other brands. If you prefer to use nut butter, I recommend almond butter over peanut butter.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Cinnamon &#8211;<\/strong> A little bit goes a long way, but it pairs perfectly with both the banana and the tahini.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Vanilla extract &#8211;<\/strong> Optional, but I found it was the missing ingredient when I originally tested this smoothie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Milk &#8211;<\/strong> Any kind of milk works ok. Almond milk, oat milk, whole milk &#8212; whatever you have in the fridge!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-instructions\">Instructions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 1: Add ingredients. <\/strong>Add the banana, dates, tahini, cinnamon, vanilla, and milk to your blender. Optional: add ice and\/or vanilla protein powder as well.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 2: Blend. <\/strong>Blend on high for 1 full minute.
